Betas puller 1517C relies on a leg self-locking mechanism triggered by the spring on the crosspiece. This feature makes it easy to position and lock the puller on the part to remove. After the puller has been fixed in place - the legs can be locked by means on the ring nut. The peculiar crosspiece has 4 seats which allow the puller to be used with both 2 legs - for easier - quicker jobs - and 3 legs - for increased firmness. The shear pin on the screw head breaks when the maximum permissible torque is exceeded - thereby protecting the puller from overloads.
