1923
The Beginning
Alessandro Ciceri establishes a forging plant in Erba, Italy, specialising in iron and steel moulds, laying the foundations for Beta.
1939
Beta is Born
The Beta trademark is registered and the company moves to Sovico, still home to its headquarters today.
1960
Going Beyond Italy
More than 200 people are working at Beta as exports begin to develop internationally.
1969
An Icon Arrives
Beta’s range surpasses 1,000 tools and the revolutionary C25 Tank tool trolley appears. Designed as a complete mobile work centre, it combines secure tool storage, generous shelving and an integrated work surface in a distinctive design that would become a Beta icon.
1971
Beta Orange
Designer Giorgio Tonti introduces the distinctive Beta orange identity, creating a visual signature that would become instantly recognisable around the world. More than 50 years later, Beta Orange remains one of the brand’s most enduring symbols, connecting its racing heritage, professional tools and Italian design.
